I bought Lenovo Laptop with Ryzen 5 3500u (8gb RAM + 256 GB SSD) for about 350 euros and its absolutely great. I’m using it mostly for office use, but I also play Football Manager 19 and it works great. I didn’t wanna to spend too much money for laptop, but I wanted something that will work fine for standard use, not only right now but also in few years and I think I hit jackpot.

I’m looking to buy a laptop for school. I’ll be doing a masters in environmental science and it may require the use of multiple software such as ArcGis, R/R studio, NVivo, ESRI, QGIS. I may also be working with large data sets and I do have a tendency of having multiple tabs open as I am always multi-tasking. I just purchased a laptop with a AMD R5 3500u processor ( 8 GB ddr4 ram, 256 GB ssd, amd radeon vega 8 graphics). But only recently did my school post recommended technology requirements and they recommended a Intel Core i5 based model processor. Do you think my laptop will be good enough or should I return it and buy a laptop with intel core i5-10210U processor?

Hey! I own a HP 14s dk0093au with the Ryzen 5 3500U. For some reason, my laptop gets heated very easily and jumps up to temp around 85C. Its been almost 11 months since I bought it. I have been experiencing this issue after a few weeks since I bought it. I did everything I could – update the BIOS, clean the internals, remove dust from the CPU fan – but nothing seems to work. Is there something I can do?

There is a price difference of $100, the first one being cheaper. I’ve gathered the general consensus is the i7-1165G7 is superior, but how much better would it be? Would it be noticeable? I most usually play Minecraft and Roblox, but diverge on occasion to FPS games, rhythm games, etc.
