The Intel Pentium Gold 6405U is a budget-oriented dual-core laptop processor. It’s a cheaper alternative to the widely used mid-range Intel Core series. But the Pentium Gold 6405U doesn’t lag a lot behind the Intel Core series when it comes to the daily computing tasks of the average home and office user, like web browsing or text and spreadsheet document editing. It enables easy completion of these tasks. However, if you regularly do heavier duties like video creation or professional photo editing and you are a heavy multi-tasker, the more popular quad-core Intel Core i5 and i7 or six-core AMD Ryzen 5 and 7 series are the way to go.
The Pentium Gold 6405U isn’t a good processor for 3D gaming, since it features the basic Intel UHD series integrated graphics. The same graphics processor with a bit higher clock speeds is used in select 10th Gen Intel Core U-series processors. They have a slight edge over the Pentium in this department, but generally perform similar – noticeably slower than integrated graphics of the Intel Core G-series CPUs and much slower than dedicated video cards like those from the Nvidia GeForce series.
Intel Pentium Gold 6405U Benchmark

i bought this laptop recently from Argos for under £300 and quiet pleased with this laptop performance. My laptop came with 4 gb ram and has two slots so I will add more ram in the future.
Using userbenchmark.com is bad option because it favours intel cpus and doesn’t do longer tests. Reconsider passmark or cinebench for testing. How i3 can be better than Ryzen 7, check on youtube there are plenty video game benchmarks. Dissapointed
