The AMD A6-9220e is an entry-level processor (CPU) for budget-class notebook and 2-in-1 PCs. The A6-9220e is rarely used. It can be found in a few affordable laptop models. We don’t have all specs of the chip, but we know it has two CPU cores, a maximal clock speed of 2.4 GHz, and basic AMD Radeon R4 integrated graphics. With these specs, it is slightly faster than similar and more frequently used E2-9000e. Available benchmarks of the CPU confirm that.

Based on the specs and benchmarks, it can be claimed that the A6-9220e provides satisfactory performance only for light PC tasks like web browsing in a couple of browser tabs, routine work in MS Office apps, multimedia playback, and some casual light gaming.
One of my customers bought a ACER desktop with one of these processors. After monitoring for 10 minutes, 100% CPU straight out of the box, though it dropped to only 50% sometimes. Machine had SSD, so I was expecting better performance. Quite a bit of lag with one Chrome tab open.
Removing Norton did help quite a bit, but we will see how it goes.
If you’re not a gamer this has whacks of power for everyday home or business use. It’s dumb to pay for overkill technology. Like, don’t waste your money on a Ferrari if you only drive around the neighborhood.
It’s unusable with any modern version of Windows.
The moment an automatic update kicks in both CPU cores are pegged at 100% utilization making your laptop useless until it struggles through the updates.
Using Linux Mint XFCE edition makes it somewhat bearable to use but amazingly CPU usage jumps to 60-70% just by simply scrolling through a webpage.
Unless you’re some sort of masochist then avoid any craptop with this processor.
