  1. The IdeaPad 1i 82LV0075US has it downsides such as narrow TN-class screen viewing angles and low RAM and storage sizes by 2025 standards. But the sub-$200 price tag is hard to beat, even if you include the traditionally cheap Chromebooks. Plus, with this model you get a free 1-year MS 365 subscription worth $100 alone right now.

  2. As for RAM upgrades, there is no info on upgradeability for the exact IdeaPad 1i 82LV0075US model. But, the official specs of the 82LV-line, also known as 14IJL7, mentions an empty RAM slot besides the soldered RAM.

    So even if the 82LV0075US has soldered RAM, there should be an empty slot for additional RAM. The 2nd “8GB SODIMM” option may mean some 82LV models have only a single RAM slot supporting up to 8GB.

    This is a good news if you plan to get the 82LV0075US, since the included 4GB is really a bottleneck when it comes to computing tasks, even the light ones.
